Dodd Group was employed by Morgan Sindall to deliver the MEP services Design and installation from a stage 3 outline design intent to this 165 Bed 3 Storey Student Accommodation Block in Plymouth.
The scheme was initially over budget and Dodd Group developed the design intent with Morgan Sindall to comply with current Part L legislation and eliminate the central heating boiler plant in favour of an electric scheme which enabled the project to move forward. Dodd Group was also able to remove the PV from the scheme which also helped the budget constraints of the scheme.
The scheme comprises of Electric Heating, CHP plant delivering power and the base hot water demand, ventilation, lighting, small power, data services and all other traditional MEP systems.
