Lucombe House

This scheme involved the supply and installation of the new MEP services to Lucombe House, County Hall to fully refurbish the building.  As a refurbishment, this brought with it the challenges of installing modern services to a very small congested building which little service void and risers. These included:

  • LTHW Heating — New ceiling mounted radiant panels to the offices and radiator to the ancillary areas
  • Domestic hot and cold services — Local point of use water heaters
  • Natural ventilation — Installation of a mechanically assisted Hybrid Windowmaster ventilation system
  • Above ground drainage and sanitaryware installation
  • Building Management System — A Trend based control system controlling the heating and monitoring the Windowmaster ventilation system
  • LV distribution & small power — underfloor busbar system with floor boxes.
  • Lighting and lighting Controls
  • Fire & security systems
  • Data installation
  • CCTV

The Scheme as designed was significantly overbudget over £150k of VE options were presented to enable the scheme to move forward which were incorporated into the design to provide a very similar end user experience
