MACE Developments have commissioned a new student accommodation facility on the site of the West Wing of the Royal Infirmary on Glossop Road in the Adamstown Area of Cardiff.

The 10 storey development incorporates a mixture of Apartments, Studio-style and standard cluster rooms to provide 644 units of accommodation. Other facilities on the development include retail units, Media Room, Gym, Yoga Studio, Private Dining Suite and Study Areas. A private courtyard provides dedicated open space for students to relax in.

Dodd group were responsible for the Design, coordination and installation of all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services throughout the project. Dodd Group set up a dedicated prefabrication facility close to the project enabling assembly and prewiring of distribution boards, risers and bracketry all of which were inspected and tested before delivery to a programmed point of installation.
