Dodd Group secured the MEP package for the new DEAF Academy School Exmouth as a design and build contract, this allowed Dodd Group to provide innovative proposals to ensure best value was realised for the client.

The project was delivered to a clear set of ER's and scope and was developed utilising the latest REVIT software in a 3D environment. Dodd Group's design partner for this scheme was SDS who initially developed the scheme for the client prior to contractor involvement.

Dodd Group & SDS's collaborative approach to projects is a proven positive formula and as a team Dodd Group & SDS enjoyed being apart of the team to deliver this fantastic meaningful project for their client the Deaf Academy. This project site layout focuses on creating a successful and dynamic education environment for the future students, whilst providing a homely feel to the boarding accommodation working with the unique qualities and constraints of the Rolle Campus.

The new Deaf Academy in Exmouth was designed specifically for young Deaf learners, a place of light, colour, enjoyment, discovery and achievement. It will inspire Deaf children to fulfil their dreams and equip them to live successful and happy lives when they leave. Its design, and the education and care within it, is a global exemplar for the provision of services for Deaf young people. This project has enabled the DEAF academy to build on their proud 190-year history and start an exciting new chapter in Exmouth, creating a brighter future for Deaf children and young people.
