Originally operating as Solihull Community Housing's (SCH) electrical contractor in
2012, due to consistently high levels of service Dodd Group was awarded 100% of the
gas and electrical works in 2014, before successfully re-tendering the entire contract
again in 2016.
We provide planned and 24/365 reactive gas servicing, maintenance, installations,
repairs and electrical testing, repairs, rewires, upgrades and improvements works to
8,300 properties across Solihull.
Cost Efficiencies
- Worked alongside gas engineers to reduce fitting packs; reducing the cost of each
heating installation by 8%
- Replaced filter manufacturer to further reduce heating installation costs by 0.25
- Conducted a pricing exercise with boiler manufacturer to reduce installation costs
by a final 2%
- Reduced gas servicing costs by 9.27% and out of hours heating repair costs by
8.37%, saving £20,000 since January 2017
- Exchange post-installation surplus materials for supplier credit
- Completed an additional 312 EICRs within the allocated electrical budget
- Reduced electrical testing costs by 5.9% overall, by completing first time fix repairs
on category 2 items, preventing return visits
