Fox Hollies Forum
Project name: Fox Hollies Forum
Location: Acocks Green, West Midlands
Contractor: Dodd Group
M&E Design and Build: Dodd Group
As part of our CSR commitment, Dodd Group has recently completed an energy-saving upgrade scheme at Fox Hollies Forum in Acocks Green. Thanks to funding from Acivico's LAD3 project, and from Dodd Group's Social Value Fund we supplied and fitted 54 PV panels to the roof of this much used community centre.
We also installed a Hybrid Inverter to 'future proof' the system so that Fox Hollies can add batteries in the future to further increase savings.
The system is connected to the internet so that Fox Hollies can monitor energy usage in the building to identify where they can make further savings. This data can be used to show the community the benefits of Solar PV to hopefully increase take up/interest.
The aim is to reduce the Centre's electrical bills by 40% across the year and save 6 tons of CO2 per annum in the process. Its its first month alone the system generated 2.5MWh and a reduction of electrical usage of 60%
